"I wish to remind that the Scout members acquire knowledge and imbibe the philosophy which forms the basis for prosperity and loyalty. They also have a spirit of volunteerism and promote unity and national integration, while generations of active, perceptive and confident individuals have been produced through the movement."

Tun Abdullah Hj. Ahmad Badwi:

"The philosophy of the Scout movement which I joined as a school boy, had guided me as a national leader".

"The Scout leaders and members must build camaraderie, unity and loyalty, and set good examples for others".
